WITH THIS, their fourth album, The Posies have toughened their sound considerably
without forsaking the sweeping melodies that made 1994's 'Frosting On The Beater'
such a beautiful ride. The Posies' trademarks are sweepingly melodic songs and the
finest harmonies this side of Cheap trick. 'Grant Hart' and
'Broken Record' show their more abrasive side, but if music is food
for the soul, The Posies are peach-flavoured Angel Delight.
With razorblades in it.
